Have you ever gone to a natural hair site and felt completely lost. There are a number of terms and abbreviations that just leave you feeling left out. So, I am going to try no make the whole process a bit easier. This way you can at least step though the door without feeling like everyone is speaking a different language. Down below you will find your own starter kit.
ACV — apple cider vinegar
BAGGY — a method of sealing in moisture in the hair by using plastic caps or shower caps either overnight or for long hours.
DUSTING — To trim 1/4 or less of the ends of the hair.
PRE-POO — A method of applying either oils or conditioning the hair before washing with shampoo.
SEALING — A method of sealing the moisture in the hair with oils and moisturizers.
TWA — Teeny Weeny Afro
MBL — Mid Back Length
APL — Armpit length
BSL — Bra Strap Length
BC — Big Chop
NG — New Growth
DC — Deep Condition
CW or CoWash — Conditioner Wash
EVOO — Extra Virgin Olive Oil
EVCO — Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
